about us
Patrick Reardon, Executive Chairman
Patrick has worked in the hotel industry for some 40 years including periods in the U.S. with Holiday Inn International and then Hyatt International,
responsible for architecture and design worldwide. He was one of the founding partners of ReardonSmith and today continues to be directly involved in
major projects as well as in business development. As one of the sector’s most recognised personalities, he is also a regular contributor,
as speaker and writer, to a number of hotel industry conferences and publications.
Conrad Smith RIBA, Managing Director
Conrad has practised as an architect and interior designer specialising in the leisure sector for over 20 years. He joined ReardonSmith in 1992 and
became Managing Director in 1996 since when he has played a key role in steering the business into new geographic markets and sectors within the
hotel and resort mix. Today, Conrad continues to lead the teams handling some of our most prestigious and challenging work, both new-build and restoration,
in the UK and overseas.
James Twomey, Associate Director
Over some 14 years at ReardonSmith, James has repeatedly worked on a number of our most prestigious projects, in the course of which he has gained
substantial experience of exclusive heritage work. Having managed a series of projects at Claridge’s and The Connaught, as well as the complex
planning for the conversion of a 15th Century Italian monastery into a luxury hotel, James has more recently taken a key role in the architectural
redesign of The Savoy. He also led the team designing London’s extremely chic Ushvani Spa in a listed townhouse in Chelsea.
Ross Blunt ARB, Associate Director
Ross’s career has focused on luxury hotel and resort design in the Gulf and the Caribbean, working on projects such as The Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman and the St Regis Temenos Hotel Spa & Resort on Anguilla. Since joining ReardonSmith, this experience has been brought to bear on some of our most prestigious overseas projects. In particular, he is working closely with Four Seasons on new hotels and residences in central Europe; he also led the team in the architectural design of a new Hyatt Regency in Minsk.
Ramsay Ritchie RIBA, Associate Director
Since joining ReardonSmith in 2006, Ramsay has led the teams handling several of our large-scale new-build projects. He initially designed a classically styled Four Seasons hotel in Baku, Azerbaijan, and has subsequently been lead designer and Guardian Architect for the city's JW Marriott Absheron, which is accommodated in a strikingly modern tower. Ramsay was pivotal in driving the sustainability-focused, £200 million project, The Belfry, from the feasibility stages through to detail design and planning approval. He simultaneously created three schemes for new Travelodges in Spain, one of which is now under construction. Ramsay is currently leading two fast-track design/build hotel projects for the new Shahdag Ski Resort in Gusar, Azerbaijan.
Alexander Marjanovic, Design Director
Alexander is a highly skilled 3D architecture and sustainable design specialist with over two decades of international experience. Since joining ReardonSmith in 2009, he has quickly taken a leading role in several projects, including the JW Marriott Absheron in Baku, located in a 20-storey mixed-use building with demanding design/build construction aspects; the Palmerston Santa Teresa Golf Resort & Spa in Sardinia which features an innovative earth shelter design; and a luxury hotel and apartments in both Vilnius, Lithuania, and at the Porto Montenegro super-yacht marina. Currently Alexander is masterplanning two new hotels and a piazza for the new Shahdag Ski Resort in Gusar, Azerbaijan.
George Dziubek RIBA, Technical Director
George has nearly 30 years experience of designing, and detailing, a wide range of prestigious buildings, which, over the last decade, have included
many hotel new-build and refurbishment projects. Since joining ReardonSmith in 2000, his in-depth knowledge of building practices, together with his
skills as a hotel architect and project manager, have resulted in George taking a key role on a number of our most complex UK projects. He is also
responsible for maintaining the Practice’s quality control programme.
Kirsten Goosen, Development Director - Africa
Kirsten joined ReardonSmith in 2000, shortly after moving to the UK from her native South Africa. Since then, she has been the lead designer on many of our resort masterplanning projects in Europe, the Caribbean and Africa. Kirsten returned home to South Africa permanently in December 2010 and has embarked on the next step in her carreer - opening and running ReardonSmith's office for the African and Indian Ocean regions.
