Four Seasons,
London
Park Lane’s latest hotel rebuilding project
ReardonSmith is leading the design team managing the transformation of The Four Seasons London. This is the first time that the building has been entirely stripped back to its structure to facilitate a major upgrading of all services, substantial internal re-planning, building extensions and a re-invigorated level of sophisticated interiors.
A two-storey extension to the North West elevation together with a rooftop extension, the latter designed by Eric Parry Architects, will increase the footprint; a greater sense of space will also be achieved through the re-orientation of internal layouts to harness newly landscaped terraces and the garden as well as city views from the higher levels of the building.
At ground level, a glamorous new porte-cochere is being introduced and the new restaurant will benefit from a fully glazed extension; above this, the extension will provide a stunning executive meeting room, the roof of which will be a magnificent terrace for a new executive suite. All eight floors of guestrooms have been reconfigured to achieve a wide range of bedrooms and suites. New lift cores, plant and state-of-the-art back-of-house facilities are also being introduced.
