Why did you choose architecture as a career?
I have a scientific mind and an artistic soul, and architecture is the perfect meeting point of both. It gives me space to express creativity and feeds my hunger for all things aesthetic, while also challenging and satisfying my analytical way of thinking.
Choosing this profession felt natural to me, as it reflects both how I think and how I create and it is a field I genuinely love.
How do you deal with creative blocks?
The simplest solution can be the best one - take a break from the task.
Sometimes, just by walking past a building, you will find a creative answer, or you might notice something inspiring in an interior you happen to be in, or a random film or magazine may inspire you in an unexpected way.
Sometimes a break is all you need to create enough space in your mind for creativity to return naturally.
Where do you find ideas?
I often browse architecture magazine websites and explore architectural content on social media. However, nothing inspires me more than travelling and visiting new places. Experiencing architecture from different periods, cultures, religions, and regions broadens your perspective and fuels your creativity. After a trip to a beautiful place, my imagination is so full that I feel an irresistible urge to design something new.
What recharges you on weekends?
Nature. Especially a walk in the forest, away from the city, where all you can hear is the whisper of the breeze, the rustle of leaves, birds chirping, and the gentle buzz of insects. Far from city noise, crowds of people, cars, and the constant loudness of modern civilisation. As I can’t retreat to the forest every weekend, I often settle for nearby parks and gardens.
And the sun. Nothing recharges me more than feeling the sun on my skin.
